Dania Gutiérrez is a researcher and professor of The Center of Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav), Monterrey's Unit.

Her research lines are in the area of statistical signal processing, in particular:

  • Biomedical signal processing.
  • Array signal processing.
  • Solving the neuroelectric inverse problem with electroencephalographic (EEG) and magnetoencephalographic (MEG) data.
  • Beamforming and its applications in EEG/MEG signal processing.
  • EEG signal processing for brain-computer interfaces.
  • Analysis of heart rate variability in the adult and fetus.

We got new equipment: the electroencephalography acquisition system B-Alert X10. With this new system we will be developing applications for brain-computer interfaces.

Claudia Zaragoza and Rocio Salazar got their M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering and Physics. Now they will continue as students in the Ph.D. program at Cinvestav Monterrey.
